"Every journey that takes place on a local train is part of the ongoing community activity. From going to work, to taking children to school, to accessing health services, they are all connected in one affordable and reliable journey," Anne said in an official statement, Thursday, April 15.
The Bandung Raya Local Train serves the Padalarang-Cicalengka relationship back and forth with the farthest fare of Rp5,000. This line connects various strategic points in the Bandung Raya area, ranging from residential areas, educational centers, to business areas.
From Cicalengka as the eastern end, the journey crosses Haurpugur, Rancaekek, Cimekar, to Gedebage which is developing as a new activity center. Entering the city center, Kiaracondong and Cikudapateuh Stations become important points before connecting to Bandung Station as the main node of mobility.
The journey then continued westwards through Ciroyom Station, Cimindi, Cimahi, until it ended in Padalarang which connects the Bandung area with West Bandung Regency.
Meanwhile, the Garut Local Train offers wider connectivity from Garut to Purwakarta with the farthest fare of Rp. 14,000. This line makes it easier for people to access various needs, ranging from education, health, to economic activities in various Priangan regions.
Anne emphasized that affordable fares make local trains the main choice for people to maintain productivity without being burdened by transportation costs.
"Local trains are a space that brings together various community needs. In one journey, there are many different destinations, but they all move at the same time. That is where the role of the train comes in to maintain connectivity and support people's activities every day," he concluded.
