SEMARANG - The government has officially increased the toll rate discount to 30 percent during the 2026 Lebaran homecoming period.
This policy will take effect on H-9 Lebaran as part of a strategy to encourage early movement while supporting the I/2026 quarter economic stimulus.
Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo said the policy applies to all toll roads nationwide.
"As far as I remember, on H-9. All (branches). Just like last year, exactly the same. Only last year the toll rate discount was 20 percent, now 30 percent," Dody told reporters in Semarang, Central Java, Sunday, March 1.
The increase in discounts from 20 percent on Lebaran 2025 to 30 percent this year is expected to be able to disperse the density before the peak of the homecoming flow.
According to Dody, the incentive was designed so that travelers would leave early so that the distribution of traffic would be more even.
"In that way, it is hoped that travelers can return home early, as well as the return can also be early," he said.
