JAKARTA - The Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of Public Works (PU) will functionalize the South Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) II Toll Road during the 2026 Lebaran homecoming period.

Based on information shared by BPJT management on its official Instagram account @pupr_bpjt, the length of the section that will be functionalized and can be crossed for free reaches 52 kilometers (km) towards Jakarta, the Sadang-Setu section.

"In order to support the smooth flow of the 2026 Lebaran return, the 52 km long South Jakarta-Cikampek II Toll Road is opened functionally in situ according to the police's discretion," explained BPJT management, quoted Friday, February 27.

The function of the South Japek II Toll Road is only for vehicles of Group I (non-bus) and only applies to the 2026 Lebaran flow period on one lane to Jakarta (Sadang-Kutanegara-Bojongmangu-Sukaragam-Setu).

"The scheme for operating the functional lane will be implemented at the discretion of the police," he explained.

In detail, the following is the functional entry and exit route scheme for the South Japek II Toll Road during the Lebaran reverse flow period:

1. Entrance lane

There is only a functional access lane at the Sadang Junction (SS).

2. Exit lane

There are four access routes, including:

- Exit SS Kutanegara Toll (distance to GT Karawang Timur existing 15 km);

- Exit SS Bojongmangu Toll Road (distance to GT Cikarang Timur 15 km, while GT Cibatu 3.5 km);

- Exit SS Sukaragam Toll (distance to GT Cikarang Barat 12 km);

- Functional exit and end of SS Setu.

As a form of support for smooth operations, the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) PT Jasamarga Japek Selatan ensures the readiness of transaction devices, system integration, and operational reliability at the temporary barrier gate. Then, the fleet and officers are on standby to anticipate technical disruptions during the functional operational period.

Next, BUJT also ensures that traffic signs, temporary road markings, street lighting, safety barriers and other safety equipment are in accordance with applicable regulations.

"Users are urged to always be careful, comply with the applicable traffic regulations, follow the instructions of officers in the field, and prepare e-toll cards," he added.
