JAKARTA - Bank Mandiri has emphasized its role as a strategic partner of the government in maintaining the stability of the financial system and supporting the smooth running of national economic activities during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1447 H periods, in line with this year's Ramadan theme "Appreciate the Moments of Blessings, Fulfill the Worship of Full Devotion". Through the strengthening of an integrated service ecosystem throughout Indonesia, Bank Mandiri has prepared cash of Rp. 44 trillion for ATM/CRM filling during the period from February 24 to March 25, 2026.
The allocation increased by 5 percent year on year (yoy) compared to the same period last year of Rp. 41.9 trillion, in line with the projection of an increase in people's transaction needs during the holy month to the peak of the homecoming and Eid al-Fitr. This liquidity readiness is part of a growing acceleration strategy to maintain the momentum of domestic consumption while strengthening the circulation of the people's economy in various regions.
Bank Mandiri Corporate Secretary Adhika Vista said this step was designed through a prudent liquidity planning and based on national transaction projections, and strengthened by optimizing distribution infrastructure and technology. According to him, the ecosystem-based approach ensures sufficient liquidity, service stability, and presents sustainable advantages in meeting the needs of community transactions.
"The provision of this cash is a manifestation of Bank Mandiri's commitment to present integrated synergies throughout our service network, so that the community's transaction needs during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr can be met optimally," Adhika said in an official statement, Wednesday, February 25.
He explained that the average cash replenishment needs are estimated to reach IDR 1 trillion to IDR 1.4 trillion per day, in line with the increasing consumption activities, payment of salaries and Civil Service Allowance (THR) for state civil servants (ASN), and community mobility ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H. The projection is based on the historical pattern of transactions and trends in domestic economic growth which show significant increases during the Ramadan and Lebaran periods.
In order to support the smooth distribution of eligible cash during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1447 H, Bank Mandiri actively participates in the Semarak Rupiah Ramadan and Berkah Idulfitri (SERAMBI) 2026 program organized by Bank Indonesia through the exchange of new and eligible Rupiah cash with a digital ordering mechanism in the PINTAR BI application as well as mobile cash and exchange points with banks in various regions.
This participation is part of an integrated synergy between the banking industry and the monetary authority to ensure that the exchange process is orderly, safe, and supports the stability of the payment system amid the increasing need for community transactions ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
In line with this, to ensure the smooth running of non-cash transactions during the Lebaran peak period, Bank Mandiri has prepared liquidity of IDR 18 trillion in the BI-Fast Fund Settlement Account (RSD) to anticipate the surge in transactions on March 18 to 25, 2026, or around IDR 2.5 trillion per day.
This step strengthens Bank Mandiri's readiness in maintaining the stability of the payment system while supporting growth acceleration through the optimization of liquidity management and digital transaction infrastructure.
Apart from the readiness of cash and liquidity for interbank transactions, Bank Mandiri ensures that all electronic service channels operate optimally during the Lebaran holiday period. The bank with the issuer code BMRI operates 12,900 ATM/CRM units and 322,000 EDC machines spread across Indonesia to support the smooth running of customer transactions while strengthening the national payment ecosystem.
Adhika added, customers can also optimize various banking transaction and lifestyle needs through Livin' by Mandiri which is now used by 37.9 million registered users. Through this digital service, people can meet various needs such as checking balances, transfers, monthly bill payments & e-commerce, top up e-money and e-wallet, and payment with QRIS. In fact, customers can also make train ticket reservations, aircraft, to tourist attractions through the Sukha feature on this super app.
"With the Mandiri e-money top up feature on Livin' by Mandiri, customers who travel through toll roads will be greatly facilitated because top ups can be done anywhere and anytime," added Adhika.
Meanwhile, for people who do not have a Mandiri e-money card, Bank Mandiri has prepared up to 1.1 million cards available at branches, the Sukha feature at Livin' by Mandiri, retail networks such as Indomaret and Alfamart, official Bank Mandiri outlets on various e-commerce platforms, and vending machines at a number of transportation points and stations. The availability of these cards is expected to support the smooth mobility of the community during the Lebaran homecoming and return flow.
In terms of the business ecosystem, Livin' Merchant has been used by 3.2 million MSMEs, while Kopra by Mandiri is used by 324,500 users from the business segment to support integrated transaction and cash management.
"Through the strengthening of a connected digital ecosystem from retail to wholesale, Bank Mandiri presents sustainable excellence in banking services, while providing added value for customers and business actors throughout Indonesia," he added.
Bank Mandiri, continued Adhika, also ensures the readiness of the information technology network optimally by forming an IT monitoring team that is on standby 24 hours to anticipate transaction spikes on all electronic payment channels. With these steps, Bank Mandiri is optimistic that it can maintain customer confidence while strengthening its role as a strategic partner of the government in encouraging stability and economic growth in the momentum of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.
