Cilacap - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN) Refinery Unit Cilacap encourages community involvement in the provision of bioavtur raw materials for Pertamina Sustainable Aviation Fuel (Pertamina SAF) at the Cilacap Refinery.
PPN Corporate Secretary, Roberth M.V. Dumatubun said, this community involvement can be seen from the increasing number of community groups that are part of the process of collecting used cooking oil or Used Cooking Oil (UCO).
"Until now, there are at least 4 groups of partner binaan who are active in the environmental sector and play an active role in collecting waste oil," said Roberth in a statement to the media, quoted Wednesday, February 25.
The four partners are the Abhipraya Waste Bank in Kutawaru Village and the Cahaya Asri Waste Bank in Tegalkamulyan Village, which have been operating since July 2025, the Beo Asri Waste Bank in Tegalreja Village, which has been operating since October 2023 and the Mom's Go Green Community, which consists of workers' wives and female workers at the Cilacap Refinery, which has been operating since January 2024.
He added that the participation of the four partners in collecting waste oil for PertaminaSAF production is a symbol of community involvement in the SAF ecosystem.
Throughout 2025, more than 4,300 liters of waste oil were successfully collected. The details, Abhipraya Waste Bank 73 liters, Cahaya Asri Waste Bank 239 liters, Beo Asri Waste Bank 1,586 liters and Mom's Go Green Community 2,428 liters.
Roberth explained that thousands of liters of waste oil were collected from more than 1,000 residents in Kutawaru Village, Tegalrera Village, Tegalkamulyan Village and Komperta Lomanis residents, Gunung Simping, Katilayu.
Not only having environmental insight, this oil collection also has an economic impact.
According to Roberth, the refined oil obtained from residents is priced at an average of Rp5,000 per liter, resulting in a turnover of around Rp20 million per year.
"The collection of this waste oil not only prevents environmental pollution, but also instills a new habit in the community, namely sorting garbage from home. This movement also realizes community independence, which is one of the objectives of the TJSL program," said Roberth.
