JAKARTA - The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) has sent as many as 1,852 containers of Indonesian goods to the United States (US) since October 31, 2025 to February 7, 2026. Thousands of containers have a volume of 155,999 tons with a total value of Rp. 5.3 trillion.

Head of the Marine and Fisheries Product Quality Control and Supervision Agency (Badan Mutu KKP) Ishartini said that the thousands of shrimp containers that were sent were also equipped with Cesium 137 (Cs-137) free certification.

"All containers of shrimp sent to the US have gone through a series of Cs-137 scanning and testing processes, then obtained the Certificate of Quality and Safety of Marine and Fishery Products (SMKHP)," said Ishartini in an official statement in Jakarta, Tuesday, February 10.

"The certificate is a mandatory document required by Customs and Border Protection/CBP (American Customs) and US FDA," he continued.

Based on KKP data, as many as 825 containers are on water or still on the way across the sea. Meanwhile, the remaining 1,027 containers have arrived in Uncle Sam's country.

A total of 1,027 containers have arrived at various US ports, such as Los Angeles, Houston, Oakland, New York, Chicago, Kansas, Baltimore, Norfolk, Savannah and Miami.

"A total of 1,027 have arrived in the US and are ready to enter their market," he said.

The thousands of shrimp containers sent to the US only came from the Fish Processing Unit (UPI) in Lampung and Java.
