Emergency Response Extended, West Sumatra Gets Solar Quota From BPH Oil And Gas 310,800 Liters

The West Sumatra Provincial Government (West Sumatra) received an additional special allocation of diesel fuel oil (BBM) for disaster management operations from the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) of 310,800 liters.

"Alhamdulillah, the proposed additional solar quota for West Sumatra was again approved by BPH Migas. With this addition, it is hoped that disaster management in West Sumatra can be optimized," said West Sumatra Governor Mahyeldi in Padang City, Antara, Wednesday, December 10.

Mahyeldi explained that the additional quota was a follow-up after the disaster emergency response period was extended until December 22, 2025.

During the first emergency response period, West Sumatra received a special allocation of 191,520 liters. With the latest addition, the total diesel allocation specifically for disaster management operations has reached 502,320 liters. This addition is said to be sufficient to support heavy equipment operations at various affected points.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) of West Sumatra Province, Helmi Heriyanto, emphasized that this special allocation was only used for the operation of heavy equipment and vehicles to deal with hydrometeorological disasters in a number of affected areas.

"The ESDM Office will continue to carry out strict supervision so that the use is right on target and not misused," he said.

Helmi explained that the distribution of special fuel follows several stages. Collection of fuel must use a recommendation letter issued by BPBD, Commander of the TNI/Polri Command Post, or Basarnas.

Batas maksimal pengambilan untuk alat berat ditetapkan 180 liter per hari, sesuai Surat Gubernur Sumbar Nomor 671/826/EKTL/DESDM-2025. Untuk kendaraan operasional, jumlah pengambilan disesuaikan kebutuhan, mengacu pada Surat Edaran Gubernur Sumbar Nomor 500/48/Perek-KE/2022 tentang pengendalian distribusi solar subsidi.

Monitoring penggunaan menjadi tanggung jawab pemberi rekomendasi di setiap posko, termasuk kewajiban melaporkan jika terjadi penyalahgunaan. Penyaluran solar dilakukan melalui 16 SPBU Siaga Bencana yang tersebar di berbagai kabupaten dan kota di Sumbar.

The maximum limit for taking heavy equipment is set at 180 liters per day, according to the Governor of West Sumatra Letter Number 671/826/EKTL/DEDM-2025. For operational vehicles, the number of taking is adjusted to the need, referring to the Circular Letter of the Governor of West Sumatra Number 500/48/Perek-KE/2022 concerning controlling the distribution of subsidized diesel.

Monitoring usage is the responsibility of recommendation providers in each post, including the obligation to report any abuse. The distribution of diesel is carried out through 16 Disaster Preparedness gas stations spread across various districts and cities in West Sumatra.
