JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) has completed the construction of the Khonghucu Religious High School, Indonesia Negeri (STIAKIN) in the Tanjung Bunga area, Air Itam, Pangkalpinang City, Bangka Belitung Province.
Bangka Belitung was chosen as the location for development because the demographics of the Confucian people in the province were one of the most in Indonesia and the need for the development of a representative Khonghucu education center, as well as strengthening inclusive religious higher education services in the southern part of Sumatra.
The construction of the Pangkalpinang STIAKIN has been carried out with a multi-year scheme since October 2024 and has been completed 100 percent as planned in September 2025.
Construction work on the StakiAKIN Pangkalpinang building under the responsibility of the Bangka Belitung Building, Infrastructure and Area Planning Center, Directorate General of Human Settlements, Ministry of Public Works, at a cost of Rp46 billion.
The STIAKIN campus was built on an area of 29,430 square meters for the campus area and 5,392 square meters for the campus access area, with a total building area of 2,330 square meters.
The main facilities include the rectorate building, the Konghucu worship building, such as Klteng Dacheng Dian and two Qifudian buildings. In addition, there are also main gates, kleteng offices, utilities buildings, parking areas, jogging tracks and guard posts and power houses as support for campus operations.
