The Bulog Corporation ensures that the national rice stock is in a safe and sufficient condition to meet the needs of the community ahead of Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 (Nataru).
Deputy President Director of Perum Bulog Marga Taufiq revealed that the rice stock controlled by Bulog is currently at 3.8 million tons. Marga said the stock was sufficient for Nataru's needs.
"Our stock is sufficient, more than enough. The amount is 3.8 million tons," he said when met in Kepuh Village, Jatisari District, Karawang Regency, West Java, Tuesday, November 4.
Marga said the Bulog rice stock consisted of a combination of procurement products from various regions and harvest seasons. Because the harvest time is different, he continued, some of the rice is over the age of six months, while the rest is under six months.
Even so, Marga ensures that the rice stock in Bulog's warehouse is all of good quality.
He said, quality supervision was carried out in layers through laboratory examinations and an integrated pest control system.
"We have quality supervision SOPs that are always carried out. Inspections are carried out routinely in the laboratory so that quality standards are still met," he said.
