BI Records QRIS Transactions Growing 147.65 Percent In The Third Quarter Of 2025

JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) reported that the volume of digital payment transactions through the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) in the third quarter of 2025 continued to grow rapidly by 147.65 percent (yoy) supported by an increase in the number of users and merchants.

BI Governor Perry Warjiyo said that the performance of digital economic and financial transactions in the third quarter of 2025 continued to increase, supported by a safe, smooth and reliable payment system.

"The volume of digital payment transactions reached 12.99 billion transactions or grew 38.08 percent (yoy) in the third quarter of 2025 supported by the expansion of the acceptance and digital payment channels," Perry said at a press conference, Wednesday, October 22.

Furthermore, the transaction volume of mobile and internet applications grew by 13.11 percent (yoy) and 17.80 percent (yoy), respectively.

Meanwhile, in terms of infrastructure, the volume of retail transactions processed through BI-FAST reached 1,223.82 million or grew 32.34 percent (yoy) with a transaction value of IDR 3,024.08 trillion in the third quarter of 2025.

Perry conveyed that the volume of large value transactions processed through the BI-RTGS system was recorded at 2.76 million transactions, with a value of Rp56,422.87 trillion in the third quarter of 2025.

Meanwhile, in terms of managing Rupiah money, the Circulated Kartal Money (UYD) grew 13.49 percent (yoy) to Rp1,200.05 trillion in the third quarter of 2025.
