BOGOR - The International Development Cooperation Fund Institute (LDKPI) said Indonesia had distributed food aid worth around Rp200 billion to Palestine.
LDKPI President Director Dalyono explained that this assistance was a follow-up to President Prabowo Subianto's statement at the United Nations General Assembly (UN) which was held in New York on September 23.
"As stated by the President (Prabowo Subianto) in his speech at UNGA (UN General Assembly), the president said that he would provide food assistance to Palestine," he said at the 2026 State Budget Complete Qualification Ceremony, Thursday, October 9.
He added that the assistance was distributed through collaboration with the World Food Program (WFP).
"The value of the assistance is quite large, namely if we make dollars, it is 12 million US dollars for food assistance to Palestine. If we make it up, it's around Rp. 200 billion," he explained.
Dalyono added, because LDKPI could not directly enter the Gaza region, the assistance was distributed through WFP which had access to affected areas.
