PT Pertamina Patra Niaga inaugurated the Labuan Bajo Fuel Terminal in West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara on Thursday, October 2.

The inaugurated Labuan Bajo Fuel Terminal has a capacity of 488 Kiloliters (KL) with 8 tanks for Pertamax and Pertamina Dex products to serve the needs of 4 gas stations and 1 SPDN for fishermen around the Labuan Bajo area.

Pertamina Patra Niaga's President Director, Mars Ega Legowo Putra, explained that with the presence of this Fuel Terminal, the supply of Labuan Bajo, which previously depended on the Fuel Terminal Reo, would now be much more efficient and faster distribution.

"Labuan Bajo is now completing the energy infrastructure network on Flores Island," he said in a statement to the media, Friday, October 3.

Previously, Pertamina had operated four Fuel Terminals (FT) in this area, namely FT Reo, FT Ende, FT Maumere, and FT Larantuka, which are the main pillars of fuel supply for the community and productive sectors in the East Nusa Tenggara region.

"With the presence of Labuan Bajo Fuel Terminal, the energy distribution system on Flores Island is getting stronger and more evenly distributed," he said.

Finally, Mars Ega explained that Pertamina has also built and improved the infrastructure of fuel and LPG terminals in Kupang, Bima, Wayame, and Jayapura to maintain and increase national energy security in Eastern Indonesia.
