Continue Rice Food Assistance Until December 2025, The Government Prepares A Budget Of IDR 13.9 Trillion

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto decided to continue the rice food assistance program for the next four months, or until December 2025.

The prepared budget is IDR 13.9 trillion.

Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) Arief Prasetyo Adi said the budget was also used to distribute rice food aid to 18.2 million recipients.

"The budget, yes, adjusts yes. What is clear is the same operationality, distribution, all kinds of around Rp. 13.9 trillion," he said after a coordination meeting at the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs Office, Jakarta, Friday, September 12.

Arief said the distribution scheme will be carried out in two stages. So one distribution for September and October, then November and December.

Each period will be distributed as much as 20 kg per recipient.

"10 kilos (for one month) times four months. I will assign it to the President Director of Bulog only twice, September, October, and November, December. So, we can finish it as soon as possible," he explained.

Arief said the data on recipients of rice food assistance was obtained from the National Sole Social and Economic Data (DTSEN) with several updates.

"DTSanya DTSEN, lanjutan yang kemarin, tapi ada koreksi sedikit. Kenapa ada koreksi? Biasa kan ada orang yang sudah meninggal. Pasti ada penyesuaian," jelasnya.

Sebelumnya, Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pangan Zulkifli Hasan menyampaikan bantuan pangan yang diberikan berupa beras 10 kilogram (kg) per keluarga.

Nantinya, penyaluran akan dilakukan dalam dua tahap.

Zulhas sapaan akrabnya bilang bahwa program bantuan pangan beras ini merupakan bagian dari stimulus ekonomi yang dirilis pemerintah.

“Sudah kita putuskan untuk empat bulan bantuan pangan, atas arahan Bapak Presiden. Jadi 10 kilo (per keluarga). Mungkin dibagi 2 kali (penyalurannya),” ucapnya usai rapat koordinasi di Kantor Kemenko Pangan, Jakarta, Jumat, 12 September.

Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan delivered food assistance in the form of 10 kilograms (kg) of rice per family.

Later, the distribution will be carried out in two stages.

Zulhas, as he is familiarly called, said that the rice food assistance program was part of the economic stimulus released by the government.

"We have decided for four months of food assistance, at the direction of the President. So 10 kilos (per family). Maybe it will be divided 2 times (the distribution)," he said after a coordination meeting at the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs Office, Jakarta, Friday, September 12.
