New SPHP Rice Distribution Realization Reaches 20.53 Percent

JAKARTA - Perum Bulog revealed that the realization of cheap rice distribution through the Food Supply and Price Stabilization (SPHP) program only reached 307,999 tons or 20.53 percent of the target of 1.5 million tons.

Head of the Bulog Perum Institutional Relations Division, Epi Sulandri, revealed that from this figure, the highest realization occurred on Saturday, August 30, 2025, 9,673 tons.

"We report that until this morning our realization was 307,999 tons or 20.53 percent, compared to the target of 1.5 million tons of highest realization on Saturday, which is 9,623 tons per day to be exact and then the realization is around 5,000 to 6,000 tons per day," he said at the 2025 regional inflation coordination meeting, Tuesday, September 2.

Epi said Perum Bulog will continue to increase the number of distribution realizations per day with a target of 7,000 per day.

"Our target is 7,000 tons per day and thank you for the support from the Food Service and the Governors and Mayors for yesterday's activities," he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of Food Vigilance and Nutrition of the National Food Agency (Bapanas), Nita Yulianis, said that there are five steps that need to be taken to accelerate the distribution of SPHP rice.

First, said Nita, increasing channel outlets such as the number of markets and traders throughout Indonesia, the number of modern retailers and the reach of all regions.

Then, continued Nita, local governments need to be even more massive in implementing the red food movement (GPM) for each feed or each region, by involving the TNI, Polri, and other government agencies.

Third, continued Nita, the acceleration of the verification process for SPHP rice distribution partners by Bulog with assistance from the Food Service or Trade and the Food Task Force.

Fourth, assistance and socialization to SPHP rice distribution partners, especially related to the Klik SPHP application.

"And by paying attention to the limitations of vehicle and human resources, Perum Bulog can cooperate with the expedition to distribute SPHP rice to SPHP channeling partners," he said.
