The HIPMI Musda In 5 Troubled Provinces, Akbar Buchari's Leadership Becomes A Highlight

JAKARTA - A number of Regional Deliberations of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) in the era of the leadership of the Chairman of BPP HIPMI, Akbar HIMawan Buchari, were colored by chaos and polemics. There are at least five provinces that have faced serious problems in the implementation of Musda, ranging from allegations of intervention, internal conflicts, to ending the police report.

Some of the HIPMI Musda, among others, occurred at BPD HIPMI Aceh with allegations of BPP Intervention and Single Candidates. The Aceh HIPMI BPD Musda was delayed from the schedule that should have ended in February 2025 until it was held in May 2025.

This delay sparked the suspicion of cadres against the BPP HIPMI intervention. The polemic escalated after BPP appointed Said Rizky Saifan as Acting Chair (carteker) as well as the Head of BPD HIPMI Aceh. Rizky Saifan's allegation at the BPP endorsement was strengthened. Until then it led to Musdalub with only one candidate, namely Said Rizky Saifan. This made the candidate who was supported by the lower current, Mawardi Nur, eliminated.

Then the South Sumatra HIPMI BPD Musda which was Postponed and the Caketum Protested with each other. BPD HIPMI South Sumatra, should end on November 21, 2023. Although there is an extension of three months, until February 2024 there will be no preparations for Musda as regulated in the AD/ART and Organizational Regulations.

Of the 17 regencies/cities, only BPC Palembang held the Muscab and inauguration. The Head of BPD HIPMI South Sumatra, H.men's Alex, who has formed the winning team and the post asked the Head of BPP HIPMI to give a strong warning to the South Sumatra HIPMI BPD who was considered negligent. Apart fromeks Alex, another candidate who has also registered is Puri Andamas. But until now, Musda has not been held.

A similar incident occurred at BPD HIPMI Riau. Suddenly the Chairperson of the OC (committee) was replaced unilaterally by the Head of BPD. This chaos occurred because the Chairman of the Organizing Committee (OC) Musda XIII, Raja Jayadinata, was dismissed unilaterally by the General Chairperson of BPD HIPMI Riau, Rahmat Kuhi. This Golkar politician assessed that his removal was not in accordance with the AD/ART mechanism or PO HIPMI. In fact, the entire stages of Musda have been carried out until the candidate assistance stage to BPP.

Another confusion also hit BPD HIPMI West Kalimantan. The Musda which was held was chaotic even though it was secretly continued in the hotel room. The Musda which was held in Pontianak City on May 17, 2025 ended in chaos after a group of thugs asked for the event to be stopped in the middle of the stages.

The police also revoked the crowd permit and the forum agreed that Musda would be postponed indefinitely. However, the committee secretly continued Musda in the hotel room without the knowledge of the police and hotel management. The Pontianak Police Chief, Kombes Pol Adhe Heriadi, emphasized that his actions were in accordance with procedures to prevent chaos from spreading.

Finally, the BPD Musda HIPMI West Sulawesi Single Candidates Are Questioned, Leads to Police Reports. Polemics also overshadowed the West Sulawesi HIPMI Musda. The winning team Andi Ricky Rosali assessed the determination of Zulfikar as the sole candidate for procedural defects. They accused Zulfikar's candidacy file of not meeting the requirements. This chaos led to mutual reporting to the police. Steering Committee (SC) and Organizing Committee (OC) Musda VI HIPMI Sulbar were even reported to have been absent from police summons twice.

The polemic of a number of BPDs also made the leadership of BPP HIPMI Akbar Buchhari highlighted. The series of chaos in these five areas strengthened the spotlight on the leadership of the Chairman of BPP HIPMI, Akbar Buchari. A number of HIPMI cadres assessed that the intervention and weakness of BPP supervision were the main triggers of the Musda conflict in various provinces.

This situation is also considered to have the potential to erode the dignity of HIPMI as a young entrepreneur organization that should uphold democratic values and regeneration of healthy leadership.
