JAKARTA - PT Hutama Panorama Sitinjak Lauik (HPSL) formed by the Consortium PT Hutama Karya (Persero) and PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur (HKI) said that the construction of the Lauik Flyover or Flyover Sitinjak in Lubuk Paraku, Padang City, West Sumatra, will begin in the near future.
Director of PT Hutama Panorama Sitinjak Lauik Michael AP Rumenser said that currently the flyover construction plan is still in the preparation stage.
The reason, said Michael, was that the construction could not be started because there were still land problems in the area where the Lauik Review Flyover was built.
"The target for resolving all land problems in the Lauik Flyover area in October 2025. (After) the preparation stage will be completed in October 2025, (then) it will be continued to the construction process," he said in a written statement, Tuesday, August 26.
According to Michael, the construction of the flyover is currently still in the early preparation stage. This means that it has not yet reached the complete construction stage.
Some of the work being done, including road repairs already exist, land acquisition for projects, completion of design images and temporary office construction at project sites.
"We have also started testing the foundation for bridges 3 and 4. This is an important step at the beginning of the project to ensure that the flyover building will be strong and development will run smoothly," said Michael.
He added, because some construction work is carried out in general areas, during the construction period, traffic engineering will also be optimally regulated so as not to cause congestion on existing routes during the construction period.
"Before the work starts, we will intensify socialization through several media, so we urge road users to be careful when going through Lauik Review during their work period," he said.
According to Michael, the reason for the construction of the Sitinjak Lauik Flyover was due to frequent accidents in the area.
Therefore, he hopes that the construction of the flyover can reduce or eliminate the potential for accidents while smoothing the flow of traffic.
"Flyover Review Lauik I was built to deal with accidents that often occur on this road. It is hoped that this project can make travel safer and smoother and help the regional economy," he concluded.
