The Installed Capacity Of The Pertamina NRE EBT Plant Reaches 2.84 GW

JAKARTA - Pertamina New & Renewable Energy (Pertamina NRE) recorded a brilliant performance in Semester I 2025, one of which was an increase in renewable energy capacity by 14 percent compared to the same period last year.

Pertamina NRE's Corporate Secretary, Dicky Sepriadi said, installed capacity until Semester I 2025 reached 2,842 megawatts (MW). Other operational aspects also show positive performance. Electricity production reached 4,226 gigawatt hour (GWh), an increase of 11 percent compared to electricity production in the same period last year.

"Equivalent Availabiliy Factor (EAF) which shows the reliability of power plants reaches 98.16 percent, or 6 percent above the Semester I target," he said, quoted on Saturday, August 16.

Meanwhile, in the financial aspect, Pertamina NRE posted 209,087 thousand US dollars and net profit reached 52,070 thousand in Semester I this year. Pertamina NRE has realized an investment of 153,810 thousand US dollars, an increase of 180 percent compared to investment realization in the same period last year.

During Semester I, Pertamina NRE reached several milestones, including the operation of the Balikpapan Refinery Unit roof PLTS with a capacity of 2.5 MW in collaboration with PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional; strategic cooperation through the acquisition of shares of 20 percent Citicore Renewable Energy Corporation (CREC); and the operation of the Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP) Unit 2 Lumut Balai Area of 55 MW.
