Ahead Of Two Years Of Operation, Jabodebek LRT Serves 42.48 Million Users

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that the Jabodebek LRT service has been used by more than 42 million users since it first operated on August 28, 2023 to August 13, 2025.

The Executive Vice President of the Jabodebek LRT, Mochamad Purnomosidi said, ahead of almost two years of operation, this figure shows the high public confidence in the Jabodebek LRT service.

Purnomosidi said the average daily user in August 2025 reached 101,618 people on weekdays and 45,647 people on weekends (weekends). This number increased by 291 percent compared to the daily average of Sundays in August 2023, when the Jabodebek LRT was first inaugurated, which was recorded at 25,970 users.

This spike, he said, shows that more and more people use the Jabodebek LRT to carry out their daily activities, ranging from work, school, to various other activities, with faster, more comfortable, and safe travel.

"We are grateful for the trust of the people who have chosen the Jabodebek LRT. Every user who is served as proof of this service is beneficial for the mobility of citizens. This trust encourages us to continue to improve the quality of service and provide a more comfortable and safe travel experience," said Purnomosidi through an official statement, Thursday, August 14.

To ensure that the benefits felt by the community are increasingly optimal, continued Purnomosidi, the Jabodebek LRT continues to make various efforts, including improving station facilities, strengthening the signaling system, and improving travel quality.

"All these steps aim to make every user's journey smoother, safe, and comfortable, both on weekdays and weekends," he said.
