Agrinas Boss Alludes To Complicated Danantara Bureaucracy, Rosan: We Implement Strict GCG

JAKARTA - Danantara Indonesia Chief Executive Officer Rosan Roeslani opened his voice regarding the statement by the President Director (Managing Director) of PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara who assessed that the investment agency bureaucracy was complicated and complicated.

Rosan said that his party applies the principles of good corporate governance or strict Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in all operational aspects.

Furthermore, Rosan said, every corporate action first goes through a comprehensive feasibility study and according to procedures, including at PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara.

Danantara Indonesia menerapkan prinsip GCG secara ketat di seluruh aspek operasional. Setiap aksi korporasi, termasuk di Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, dilaksanakan setelah melalui kajian kelayakan yang komprehensif dan sesuai prosedur yang berlaku, ujar Rosan dalam keterangan tertulis, Selasa, 12 Agustus.

According to Rosan, the ongoing process ensures that every decision is taken with the principle of prudence, supports the sustainability of the company's performance, and maintains the trust of stakeholders.

"As a strategic investment manager, Danantara Indonesia is committed to transparency, accountability, and the implementation of good corporate governance in all business entities," he said.

Previously reported, Joao Angelo De Sousa Mota revealed his reason for resigning from the position of President Director of PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara. One of them is due to the complicated bureaucracy in Danantara Indonesia as the manager of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

"I want to convey that the bureaucracy run by Danantara is still not what the President hopes to cut or accelerate (the bureaucracy)," he said at a press conference, in Jakarta, Monday, August 11.

Joao said Danantara was actually present to accelerate or shorten the processes of activities that were more business-related. No longer building a very long bureaucracy, and convoluted.

According to Joao, this complicated bureaucracy actually hampers the implementation of the tasks given by President Prabowo Subianto.

"Well, that's what has been hampering the process or orders of the President, where the assistants always say that 'yes, sir, yes sir, yes sir', but the implementation is no one executing and is not long-winded and does not focus on the conditions and situations," he said.

Joao said, during his 6 months of existence, Agrinas Pangan Nusantara could not carry out his work program.

This is because his party was ordered to conduct a feasibility study (FS) repeatedly.

The bureaucracy that builds a very long, convoluted bureaucracy, which is almost impossible for us to realize. Those are the bureaucracy that is still maintained and practiced in the Danantara. So to this day we are still asking for FS, which until today may be the third or the time we have submitted it," he explained.

Joao pun memutuskan untuk mundur dari jabatannya sebagai Dirut Agrinas Pangan Nusantara per hadi ini, karena merasa gagal mewujudkan target ketahanan pangan.

Dia bilang, surat pengunduran dirinya akan diserahkan kepada Danantara.

“Saya sampaikan pengunduran diri saya itu sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab saya dan saya terus terang saja malu memimpin perusahaan ini selama 6 bulan dan tidak bisa berkonstitusi. Saya sangat malu,” tuturnya.

Joao also decided to resign from his position as President Director of Agrinas Pangan Nusantara per hadi, because he felt that he failed to realize the target of food security.

He said his resignation letter would be submitted to Danantara.

"I convey my resignation as a form of my responsibility and I am frankly ashamed to lead this company for 6 months and cannot hold constitution. I am very ashamed," he said.
