Bulog Reports Government Rice Reserve Stock Reaches 3.9 Million Tons

JAKARTA - Director of the Supply Chain and Public Service of Perum Bulog, Suyamto reported the latest position in the procurement and stock of rice managed by the company.

"The total stock per day is 3.9 million tons. In detail, the Government Rice Reserve rice stock (CBP) is 3,934,000 tons and commercial stock is 12,545 tons," said Suyamto in an inflation meeting quoted from the Ministry of Home Affairs' YouTube, Monday, August 11.

Regarding procurement, Suyamto said that the total dry rice harvested into Bulog's warehouse reached 3.8 million tons, while rice procurement was 227,000 tons.

Furthermore, Suyamto said, Bulog is also still continuing to procure even though the volume is starting to decline.

"Currently, the average daily procurement is around 7,000 tons," he said.

From the assignment to distribute 365,000 tons of food aid, said Suyamto, Bulog has distributed 351,093 tons or 89 percent.

Meanwhile, the SPHP (Food Supply and Price Stability) program was recorded at 16,000 tons. Other distributions, including assistance for natural disasters, CBBD (Emergency Rice Institution), and ASN in the eastern region, reached 61,467 tons," he said.

Still, said Suyamto, since July until now, the CBP stock issued for price stabilization has penetrated more than 429,000 tons.

"So we report that during the July period until now, the amount of CBP stock that we have spent on price stabilization has reached 429,302 tons," he said.
