Former President Director Of PLN Didapuk Becomes Commissioner Of Bank Mandiri

JAKARTA - The Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) reshuffled the board of commissioners and company directors today, Monday, August 4.

Shareholders also appointed Zulkifli Zaini as one of the commissioners of this state-owned bank.

For information, Zulkifli is not a new name in the state-owned company environment. Previously he served as Mandiri President Director to PT PLN (Persero) President Director.

Zulkifli was born in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra on January 13, 1956 and started his career at Bank Pembangunan Indonesia (Bapindo) in 1988. Just so you know, Bapindo is the forerunner of Bank Mandiri.

Zulkifli was also trusted by the Head of Project Finance of Bapindo Surabaya Branch in 1994. Then in 1996 he served as Deputy Head of Bapindo Bandung Branch, and in 1998 served as Branch Head in Jambi.

After the Bank Mandiri merger process took place, Zulkifli was then trusted as Senior Manager and Team Leader Credit Risk Management.

From September 1999 to January 2003, he was appointed Vice President and Division Head, Government Relationship Management.

Then, Zulkifli served a number of different positions at Bank Mandiri from 2003 to 2010, starting from Managing Director of Distribution Network, Managing Director of Commercial Banking, Supervision of Small Business Segment, to Managing Director Technology & Operation of Bank Mandiri.

Then Zulkifli served as President Director of Bank Mandiri in 2010-2013.

Zulkifli is known to have served as Independent Commissioner of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI during March 2015-2019. Zulkifli also served as Independent Commissioner of Bank Permata in 2017-2020.

He resigned from Bank Permata in January 2020 after being appointed as President Director of PT PLN in December 2019. Zulkifli has held this position since December 2019 in December 2021.

Zulkifli was recorded as the President Commissioner of PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Holding in December 2021. Until finally he has returned to BUMN banking by becoming a Commissioner of Bank Mandiri.
