PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) announced that it had obtained a revision of the work plan and budget permit (RKAB) Blok Bahodopi.
President Director of Vale Bernardus Irmanto said that the blessing of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources was only obtained on July 18 to sell 2.2 million high-grade nickel ore, saprolite.
"We have received the revised RKAB 2025 for July 18, to sell 2.2 million tons of saprolite seeds," Bernardus said in a press conference after the LB GMS, Monday, July 28.
He said, after pocketing the RKAB, Vale had made the first shipment of saprolite ore last week.
Furthermore, he said, with the acquisition of the RKAB, Vale's income now comes not only from Sorowako, but also from the Bahodopi Block.
Moreover, Bernardus continued, the refining or smelter industry in the Block has not yet been completed.
"Later in the second half of 2025, our revenue will not only be from Sorowako. So there will be additional revenues from Bahadopi. It will also be a very positive addition," he explained.
