JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) has completed the project of the Mak Technopole Campus 2 Polytechnic Manufacturing Bandung in Jatisawit Village, Kasokandel District, Majalengka Regency, West Java.

The construction of Campus 2 of the Bandung Manufacturing Polytechnic in Majalengka is part of the government's program in supporting the acceleration of the development of the Tambourine area and South West Java, in accordance with the mandate of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 87 of 2021.

"With the completion of this campus, it is hoped that it can increase the productivity of students and educators in carrying out teaching and learning activities and research, especially in the manufacturing sector," said PU Minister Dody Hanggodo as quoted from his written statement, Monday, July 28.

In accordance with President Prabowo's Astacita, education is one of the main pillars of national development, namely increasing access to quality education for all children of the nation and becoming a priority of the Ministry of Public Works.

The construction of the Technopole Building began in December 2023 on an area of 133,955 square meters, covering two main four-story buildings with a total building area of 19,301 square meters.

Currently, all construction work for the construction of the Technopole Building by the Ministry of Public Works has been completed 100 percent and has been used for teaching and learning activities.

The building of the Technopole building carries the concept of center of technology, center of competency, center of industrial partnership and center of business development.

Also equipped with the I-SMART (Integrated Smart Classroom) lecture room, project-based learning method (Project-Based Learning) and the concept of technical factory that integrates the academic and industrial world.

"The modern facilities built are expected to be able to answer the needs of the national manufacturing industry as well as encourage the acceleration of regional development in a sustainable manner," he said.

Not only the main buildings, continued Dody, the Ministry of Public Works also builds supporting infrastructure, such as regional roads and the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), and landscape utility systems.

"All building infrastructure is designed with the concept of Green Building Building (BGH), as part of a commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly development," he concluded.
