JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI continues to strengthen its role as a strategic partner of the government in providing housing access for low-income people (MBR). Through collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (Kemen PKP) and the People's Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera), BNI has received a mandate to distribute loans for Housing Liquidity Financing Facilities (KPR FLPP) as many as 25,000 units by 2025.

This number has more than doubled compared to the initial quota of BNI this year which was only 10,750 units. This distribution is part of BNI's commitment to support the 3 Million Houses Program launched by the government to reduce the national housing backlog.

The agreement was stated in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at Grha BNI, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 23, the signing was carried out by BNI President Director Putrama Wahju Setyawan, PKP RI Minister Maruarar Sirait, and BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho.

On that occasion, a hybrid mass credit contract was also held involving 779 subsidized mortgage debtors. A total of eight debtor representatives participated in the event in person, while the rest were present online from various parts of Indonesia.

The Minister of PKP RI, Maruarar Sirait or who is familiarly called the Minister of Ara, expressed his appreciation to BNI for the concrete support provided. "Today, 779 debtors have carried out a mass subsidized KPR contract. This is not just a number, but the faces of families who will have decent housing," he said.

On the same occasion, BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho also appreciated BNI's active contribution in distributing subsidized mortgages.

"To this day, BNI has distributed 6,025 units of FLPP mortgages with a value of Rp759.57 billion," said Heru.

President Director of BNI Putrama Wahju Setyawan added, with the FLPP distribution quota given as many as 25,000 units of the total national quota, this emphasized the high government's trust in BNI in running the program.

"With a quota of 25,000 units, BNI is ready to support the acceleration of the provision of decent houses for low-income people. This is a tangible form of our commitment to be present in the community," said Putrama.
