JAKARTA - In the midst of efforts to encourage national financial inclusion and literacy, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI recorded a surge in transaction activity through the AgentBRILink network. Throughout January to June 2025, the public recorded transactions through AgentBRILink of 540 million transactions with a total transaction volume of Rp843 trillion.
The financial transactions are served by 1.22 million agents spread across 67,000 villages throughout Indonesia, which reach people to remote areas of the country. This achievement not only reflects the magnitude of economic activity at the local level, but also proves that BRI banking services are present in real terms and are easily accessible to the grassroot level.
BRI President Director Hery Gunardi said that the achievement of Agent BRILink was due to the strong influence of the network foundation of agents through a system that was reliable, safe, and efficient. In addition to being a financial service channel, this agency model also opens up new business opportunities for local communities, especially in areas that have not been reached by the bank office network.
Along with the increasing volume of transactions and public trust, Agent BRILink also contributed positively to BRI's performance. Throughout the first half of 2025, this service posted a non-interest income of IDR 787 billion.
We see that Agent BRILink is not only a banking service distribution channel, but as an economic node that reaches millions of people to villages. Through this network, people can easily and directly access financial services to the national banking system. In the long term, this not only strengthens financial inclusion, but is also a source of sustainable growth for BRI, including in the collection of low-cost funds (CASA)," said Hery.

Where, the available services include various daily transactions such as electricity, water, BPJS contributions, and telephone bills, credit purchases, installment payments, BRIZZI balance fillings, loan deposits, to referral services for opening Basic Saving Account (BSA) savings accounts and applying for loans.
Furthermore, as an effort to continue to maximize the benefits of the community, Agent BRILink now provides a variety of relevant additional services. Among them are sales of micro insurance, cash withdrawals from abroad, to purchases of travel tickets such as buses, shuttles, trains, and ferries.
With a universal banking approach, Hery said that Agent BRILink was the spearhead of the transformation of financial services that reached 3T (Front, Outermost, and Disadvantaged). BRI is optimistic that Agent BRILink can create business opportunities for the local community. In fact, in the future, Agent BRILink is expected to continue to be the driving force for the regional economy while at the same time encouraging financial literacy and inclusion throughout Indonesia," concluded Hery.
