Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 8 Surabaya Luqman Arif in Malang City, East Java, Saturday, said that during the first semester of 2025 or from January to June the number of passengers at the station was 1,036,739 customers.

Based on PT KAI Daop 8 Surabaya records, throughout the first semester of 2024 the number of passengers at Malang Station was 951,182 customers.
Luqman detailed that 1,036,739 customers in the first semester of 2025 consisted of 514,633 departing passengers and 522,106 arriving passengers.
"This confirms the role of Malang Station as a strategic transportation node in the southern region of East Java which continues to grow," he said.

He said this increase in the number of passengers was a positive indicator that KAI services, especially at Malang Station, were increasingly in demand by the public.
"KAI comes professionally to support community mobility through services that we continue to improve in terms of digitization, comfort, to customer loyalty programs," he said.
