JAKARTA - The Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs reports that the realization of the distribution of People's Business Credit (KUR) from January 2021 to April 29, 2021 has reached Rp. 82.56 trillion to 2.28 million debtors.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the value of KUR in the first four months of this year was equivalent to 32.63 percent of the 2021 target with a ceiling of Rp253 trillion.

"We recorded a total outstanding KUR of Rp252.92 trillion with a maintained non-performing loan (NPL) ratio of 0.71 percent," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, May 4.

Airlangga continued, based on data from the Program Credit Information System (SIKP) until April 29, 2021, the realization of the KUR policy during the COVID-19 pandemic can be seen from several developments.

First, the additional realization of the KUR interest subsidy as of December 31, 2020 has been given to 7.02 million debtors with a debit balance of IDR186.5 trillion.

Second, the realization of postponement of principal installments until April 29, 2021 has been given to 1.76 million debtors with a debit balance of IDR 70.53 trillion.

"While for the third, the realization of KUR until April 29, 2021, is given an extension of the period to 1.51 million debtors with a debit balance of Rp.47.51 trillion rupiah," he said.

"Then, the addition of the KUR ceiling limit was given to 16 debtors with a debit tray of Rp. 2.49 billion," he continued.

Airlangga added that the government has made several adjustments to the KUR rules and policies which will take effect from July 1, 2021, including the matter of changing the unsecured scheme from IDR 50 million to up to IDR 100 million.

"The KUR scheme is fixed, but for the small KUR scheme, the value of KUR without collateral is added up to Rp. 100 million," he added.
