Soekarno-Hatta Airport Ready To Welcome The Return Of Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney) Soekarno-Hatta Airport Branch Office, Tangerang, Banten, ensures the readiness of all services to welcome the return of Indonesian pilgrims on June 12, 2025.

"We are ready to welcome the return of the pilgrims at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. As in the departure phase, we have made preparations from the start to support the smooth phase of the congregation's return, starting from adjusting the service flow to the readiness of personnel and facilities," said General Manager of AP Indonesia Soetta Airport Branch Office, Dwi Ananda Wicaksana in Tangerang, quoted by Antara, Monday, June 9.

He said that the return of Indonesian pilgrims through Soekarno-Hatta International Airport would begin on Thursday morning (12/6).

This phase, he said, began with the arrival of pilgrims from the Jakarta - Pondok Gede (JKG) and Jakarta - Bekasi (JKS) embarkations.

"Starting next Thursday, the return of the hajj to Indonesia will start with the Jakarta group Pondok Gede," he said.

At that stage, a total of 51,314 pilgrims will arrive from the two embarkations and will arrive gradually until July 10, 2025 using Garuda Indonesia and Saudia Airlines airlines via Terminal 2F of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

Nevertheless, Dwi said, all Soekarno-Hatta International Airport managers have ensured that all supporting facilities are ready to be used during the return period.

"Starting from the smooth arrival process, an integrated baggage handling system, to the readiness of health services through special rooms and the support of Health Quarantine Center (BBKK) officers," he said.

Dwi also stated that Soekarno-Hatta Airport had prepared a number of operational steps to support the return of pilgrims this year.

"We hope that the entire return process will run smoothly until the end, and will be a good closing of the 2025 pilgrimage pilgrimage," he said.
