JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 3 Cirebon noted that 142,285 tickets for the Vesak Day holiday period had been sold out.
KAI Daop 3 Cirebon Public Relations Manager Muhibbuddin said of the total 26,300 seats provided, 22,496 tickets were sold.
"We noted that 22,496 tickets have been sold or the equivalent of the occupancy rate of 86 percent," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 13.
He said the number of passengers who came to the Daop 3 Cirebon area during that period reached 29,793 people.
That number can still change as data updates continue to be made.
According to him, the two main stations, namely Cirebon Station and Cirebon Prujakan, are the most crowded departure points and passenger arrivals.
He detailed that 13,182 passengers departed from Cirebon Station and 12,920 people fell.
Meanwhile, from Cirebon Prujakan Station, 5,200 passengers rose and 5,170 people fell.
"During the five days of the holiday period, he said, there were an average of 142 train trips per day that crossed the Daop 3 Cirebon area, including additional train trips," he said.

Muhibbuddin said that in order to accommodate the surge in passengers, his party operated an additional train, namely the Cirebon Facultative connection of Cirebon-Gambir with a capacity of 610 seats.
