Legitimate! Jokowi Signs THR Payment For Civil Servants, TNI And Police Of IDR 30.8 Trillion, Retirees Receive IDR 9 Trillion

JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani said that based on Government Regulation (PP) No. 63/2021 which was signed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), the payment of the holiday allowance (THR) for the 2021 period is set at IDR 30.8 trillion.

From this figure, the THR for PNS, TNI and Polri is IDR 7 trillion. Then, for ASN within the local government or regional civil servants and P3K, it is stated that it is IDR 14.8 trillion. Meanwhile, for retirees it is as much as 9 trillion.

"It is hoped that this THR can encourage increased public consumption which can then increase and leverage national economic growth," he said in a press statement via the Ministry of Finance's Youtube channel, Thursday, April 29.

Sri Mulyani added that the payment and distribution of THR for these state servants would be carried out no later than D-10 to D-5 before the Eid al-Fitr celebration.

The Ministry of Finance itself has followed up on PP 63/2021 by issuing Regulation of the Minister of Finance (PMK) RI Number 42 / PMK.05 / 2021 Concerning Technical Guidelines for Giving THR and Thirteenth Salaries.

In the regulation, it is stated that the Hari Raya Allowance is paid no later than 10 days before the date of Hari Raya.

Apart from the matter of paying the THR, this PMK also regulates the payment of the thirteenth salary for state servants.

“The thirteenth salary is paid in June at the earliest. In the event that the thirteenth salary cannot be paid, it can be implemented after June. In the event that there are remaining THR payments and the thirteenth salary, the expenditure treasurer will immediately deposit the remaining funds into the state treasury, "the regulation signed by the Minister of Finance wrote.
