JAKARTA Google will reach a new agreement with Apple. In a recent Google Search monopoly trial, the tech giant said Gemini would be integrated with the iPhone.
This was said by Google CEO Sundar Pichai on Wednesday, April 30. He confirmed that Google was trying to reach an agreement with Apple in the middle of this year to install Gemini on its cell phone.
The hope is that this integration will be released at the end of the year. This integration concept is similar to the partnership between Apple and ChatGPT. Google wants to make Gemini integrated with Siri so that the virtual assistant can call Google's big language model (LLM).
Thus, iPhone users can ask Gemini a complex question. In addition to confirming his company's plans, Pichai also explained that he had met Apple CEO Tim Cook to discuss the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

"He [Cook] tried to understand our plans on how we developed AI technology, our roadmap, and as part of that, we also talked about the distribution of Gemini apps," Pichai said, quoted by The Verge.
Google has received a lot of information about the development of Apple Intelligence, one of which is the use of more third-party AI models. This support will be available on iPhones compatible with Apple Intelligence by the end of the year.
Apparently, third-party AI integration with Apple Intelligence is being worked on because MacRumors had found a reference to 'Google' as a choice of Apple's AI model. This feature can be seen in the beta version of iOS some time ago.
