BPH Migas Guarantees Reliability Of Fuel Supply And Distribution In Tourist Areas

JAKARTA - The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) and Commission XII of the DPR ensure the reliability of the provision and distribution of subsidized fuel in tourist areas, as was done in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Member of the BPH Migas Committee, Wahyudi Anas, in his statement, said that Labuan Bajo is a fairly favorite tourist destination, so it is obligatory to ensure that energy services do not experience problems, or are lacking in the provision of fuel oil.

"In this Specific Working Visit, Commission XII of the DPR RI, an evaluation was carried out and ensured that the provision and distribution of fuel oil to communities in the Labuan Bajo area and its surroundings were safe," Wahyudi Anas said during a working visit in West Manggarai, NTT, quoted by Antara, Sunday, April 27.

He said that many productive community activities in Labuan Bajo needed fuel. For this reason, it is necessary to supervise and control the distribution of subsidized fuel and state compensation so that it is right on target, right on volume and right on benefits for the community. Meanwhile, for types of general or non-subsidized fuel, one of the government's focuses is the availability of avtur fuel for flight services.

"It is necessary to ensure that the distribution of subsidized fuel and compensation fuel is right on target, on volume and on benefits for the community. So that the use is really for people who carry out daily activities in order to support economic growth at the regional level," said Wahyudi.

During this visit, BPH Migas also appealed to local governments, Law Enforcement Officials (APH) and all elements of society to work together to prevent misuse of the distribution of subsidized fuel and compensation.

"This joint supervision is also a concern for the leadership and members of Commission XII of the DPR to ensure that there is no misuse of fuel. For example, ships in Labuan Bajo that are indeed for business activities, are not entitled to subsidized fuel or fuel compensation," he said.

BPH Migas juga, ujar Wahyudi, menekankan kewajiban menggunakan kode responsi cepat (QR Code) untuk pembelian BBM bagi transportan darah. Sementara masyarakat yang bergerak di sektor agricultural, perikanan, transportasi air, UMKM (usaha miklim kecil dan menengah) dapat memanfaatkan pembelian BBM dengan surat rekomendasi.

The importance of a recommendation letter as a driver of productive sectors was also put forward by Member of Committee BPH Migas Saleh Abdurrahman. BPH Migas has developed an XStar application system to issue recommendation letters online.

"This is an effort to ensure that consumers engaged in the productive sector such as fishermen, farmers, breeders and micro, small and medium enterprises get priority to enjoy the allocation of subsidized fuel quotas and compensation through a recommendation letter issued by the local government," he said.

Saleh continued, local government agencies in NTT Province that have not activated the XStar application are expected to implement it immediately.

"Later, we will discuss this Recommendation Letter again so that the distribution of subsidized fuel, namely diesel and fuel compensation, namely pertalite for consumer users, is really right on target. This is very important," said Saleh.

Regarding the distribution of subsidized fuel and compensation fuel in West Manggarai, Saleh said, until now it is still in accordance with the stipulated prognosis. BPH Migas ensures that this quota will be sufficient until the end of the year.

Meanwhile, for people in the Disadvantaged, Frontier and Outermost (3T) areas, the Government has implemented the One Price Fuel Program which has been implemented since 2017. As of 2024, 583 One Price Fuel Distributors have been built.
