JAKARTA - PT PP Properti Tbk (PPRO), a property developer in Indonesia, continues to be committed to creating a comfortable and environmentally friendly sustainable residence. Evenciio Apartment, one of the Student Residence products owned by PPRO's subsidiary, PT Wisma Belajar Sejahtera, shows progressive steps by innovating organic waste management through the Master's Method (Black Soldier Fly or BSF).
This also supports the invitation of the Mayor of Depok, Supian Suri, which encourages all people and business actors to actively contribute to overcoming waste problems through environmental-based approaches.
In realizing this breakthrough, Evenciio collaborated with Den Maggot, the fostered partner of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP), to optimize the magazine cultivation method with a vertical rack system. The entire process was carried out by the Building Management Evenciio team by forming a 3R team (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), and involving active participation of residents through education and provision of special waste sorting facilities in apartment areas.
Every day, the housing located in the center of Depok City, precisely on Jalan Margonda Raya, produces 9 cubic meters of waste consisting of 20 percent organic waste and 70 percent inorganic waste, and 10% B3 waste.
This innovation has proven to be effective in reducing waste management costs by up to 78 percent per month. Not only that, almost all organic waste can be described optimally in a relatively short time, so as to create a healthier residential environment.
In addition, the rest of the maggot decomposition can be used as organic fertilizer, while the maggots that have been dried and into flour are used as fish feed in the Evenciio pond.
PP Properti's VP Corporate Secretary, Afrilia Pratiwi, stated that this step is a clear proof of PPRO's commitment to the environment as well as social responsibility.
"We believe that providing a healthy and sustainable environment is an important part of quality living experience. With this system, it is proven that waste management can be done independently, efficiently, and has a positive impact on residents and the surrounding community," said Afrilia, Thursday, April 24.
With this breakthrough, PPRO hopes to be a pioneer for other property developers to adopt sustainable practices, as well as inspire a more environmentally responsible lifestyle.

"This initiative is also expected to inspire as well as a reminder for the younger generation, especially the residents of Evenciio, that we can protect the environment from simple steps such as sorting waste and managing it wisely," concluded Afrilia.
Evenciio's innovative move is not only a waste management solution, but also part of the transformation movement towards a greener and more sustainable future.
In line with the principles of SDGs, particularly Aims 11 (City and Sustainable Settlements), Aims 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and Aims 13 (Civil Change Handling), this initiative reflects how PPRO can take a strategic role in environmentally friendly development.
Through the integration of local technology, residential education, and collaboration with strategic partners, PPRO proves that creating a smart and sustainable residential ecosystem is no longer just a vision, but a real action.
