Legislators: Pertamina's Ramadan And Eid Al-Fitr Task Force Successfully Minimizes Request Surge

JAKARTA - Member of Commission XII Eddy Soeparno assessed that the performance of the Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr Task Forces (Satgas) Pertamina 2025, which had just ended. According to him, Pertamina has succeeded in anticipating a surge in demand for fuel oil (BBM) and LPG, so as to meet the needs of the community.

"Alhamdulillah, so far everything has always worked well. Pertamina has succeeded in mitigating the surge in demand," said Eddy to the media, Tuesday, April 22.

According to Pertamina's records, during the implementation of the Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr 2025 Task Force, there was indeed an increase in fuel and LPG consumption. LPG consumption increased 3.7 percent compared to normal conditions, Pertalite rose 9.5 percent, Pertamax rose 5 percent, and Pertamina Dex rose 3.1 percent. Pertamax Turbo experienced a significant increase, namely 1,062 kilo liters per day, an increase of 41.7 percent compared to the normal average consumption of 750 kiloliters per day.

Eddy added that the excellent service of the Pertamina Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr Task Force in meeting energy needs cannot be separated from the experience of previous years.

Eddy agrees, Pertamina has indeed prepared a surge in demand. Starting from the Subholding Upstream side of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi, which is considered capable of keeping the production and lifting levels of domestic oil and gas optimal, so that the availability of crude oil supply during the Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr Task Force in 2025 is well maintained. Likewise, the preparation of refineries for hundreds of tankers to various services such as packaged fuel, motorist fleets, standby tanker trucks, to services at Serambi MyPertamina.

"Yes, definitely (prepare well). What is then done is how fuel is distributed smoothly too," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the surge in Pertamax Turbo requests, Eddy also considered it positive. According to him, currently there is indeed a tendency for people to use cleaner fuel.

The public is considered aware that by consuming high-octane fuel, the vehicle engine will be properly maintained so that performance is also satisfactory.
