The manager of the Cikopo Toll Road, Palimanan Astra Tol Cipali, reported that as many as 26,500 vehicles crossing the toll road headed towards Jakarta, this morning.
Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications Department Head of Cipali Toll Road Ardam Rafif Trisilo said this figure increased by around 87 percent when compared to the volume of traffic to Jakarta at the same time yesterday.
"From 00.00 WIB to 09.00 WIB, there were 26,500 vehicles via Cikopo (from Cirebon to Jakarta), an increase of around 87 percent compared to the traffic volume at the same time yesterday," Ardam said in a written statement, Friday, April 4.
Ardam said that at least two efforts were made by his party to anticipate traffic congestion, namely the implementation of One Way traffic engineering and the provision of toll tariff discounts.
"One Way traffic engineering and toll tariff discounts are an effort to anticipate overcrowding due to high traffic volume," he said.
Astra Tol Cipali provides a tariff discount of 20 percent starting Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 05.00 WIB until Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 05.00 WIB.
