InJourney Airports Serves 4.7 Million Airplane Passengers During Homecoming

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) serves 4.7 million aircraft passengers from all airports managed during the Lebaran 2025/Idul Fitri 1446 Hijri homecoming period, period 21-30 March 2025.

President Director of InJourney Airports Faik Fahmi said the implementation of the homecoming flow on Lebaran 2025 transportation at all airports managed went well and smoothly.

"The cumulative number of aircraft passenger movements at 37 InJourney Airports in the homecoming period or March 21-30, 2025 (H-10 to D-1) was recorded at around 4.7 million passengers," said Faik in a statement reported by ANTARA, Monday, March 31.

He conveyed that collaboration is the key to success in the 1446 H Eid homecoming flow.

Airport services and operations run well on the homecoming flow, including the peak of the homecoming flow.

He said this was thanks to the close collaboration of all parties, starting from InJourney Airports as airport operators, airlines, ground handling, AirNav Indonesia, Airport Authority, TNI and Polri, and fully supported by the Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of SOEs.

The traffic management carried out by InJourney Airports, said Faik, also ensures that there is no accumulation of airplane passengers at the terminal even though flight traffic is quite high.

"We also thank all aircraft passengers who strongly support the implementation of Eid transportation at all InJourney Airports," said Faik.

He said the five busiest airports on the homecoming flow were Soekarno-Hatta Tangerang (1.56 million passengers), I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali (554 thousand), Juanda Surabaya (416 thousand), Sultan Hasanuddin Makassar (295 thousand) and Kualanamu Deli Serdang (228 thousand).

On the first day of Eid al-Fitr, March 31, 2025, the number of passengers at all InJourney Airports is estimated at 377 thousand passengers.

The number of passengers on the first and second days of Eid al-Fitr is slightly sloping compared to the flow of homecoming. We estimate the number of passengers will begin to increase on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, when the backflow starts," he said.

InJourney Airports stated that during the March 21-30 2025 homecoming flow, the number of aircraft movements at 37 airports was recorded at 35,103 flights.

InJourney Airports Director of Operations Wendo Asrul Rose said that the number of additional flights from airlines served on homecoming totaled 1,529 extra flights.

Wendo said that thanks to good collaboration among all stakeholders, InJourney Airports and airlines can carry out good handling of the conditions of irregularities that have an impact on several flight operations.

"Where these conditions of irregularities are caused by a number of factors, namely weather factors, natural disasters, operational technicalities and others," said Wendo.
