Badanas Boss Opens His Voice About Three BUMN Karya Being Agrinas

JAKARTA - The National Food Agency (Bapanas) has opened its voice regarding the expansion of the field of need for three state-owned enterprises (BUMN) that have been transformed into running the fisheries, plantation and food sectors, under the name Agrinas.

The three SOEs are Virama Karya, Yodya Karya and Indra Karya. Where will Virama Karya become PT Agrinas Jaladri Nusantara.

Then, Yodya Karya became PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara and Indra Karya became PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara.

Head of Badanas Arief Prasetyo Adi said the expansion of the business fields of the three work companies had gone through the stages of consideration and planning.

"There has been a plan. Then the 3 SOEs are of course taken into account, there has been a plan. Later, maybe specifically, you can ask the Ministry of SOEs," he said when met at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs, Jakarta, Monday, March 17.

Arief also emphasized that the expansion of the business fields of the three state-owned companies was aimed at the benefit of the community.

Therefore, he asked not to doubt the plan to expand the business sector.

"Already, don't doubt something like that. That's definitely for the benefit, there are three, right, for palm oil, for rice, the same as for fisheries. Ask the Minister of SOEs, but that's definitely for the benefit," he said.

On the other hand, Arief admitted that previously there had been no expansion of the business sector in BUMN Karya to become a company that was engaged in managing food.

"Not yet, right, there are only three besides that, right? There are other food SOEs. There is ID FOOD and other subsidiaries. There are other SOEs, Bulog," he said.

Previously, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir said the process of changing the state-owned company's business model was now much faster in line with the issuance of Law (UU) Number 1 of 2025.

This was conveyed by Erick in response to the change of PT Indra Karya (Persero) to PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero).

Erick explained, with the new BUMN Law, Indra Karya, which initially focused on conducting consulting services, transformed into Agrinas and opened business expansion in the oil palm plantation sector.

"In the new SOE law where this ministry has accelerated wisdom to merged, close, replace business models for all SOEs with fast times," Erick said at the BUMN Ministry office, Jakarta, Friday, March 14.
