JAKARTA - PT Elnusa Tbk (ELSA) revealed that in 2025 it will allocate a capital expenditure (capex) of IDR 554 billion which is focused on strengthening the main business segment.

Elnusa's Director of Business Development, Arief Prasetyo Handoyo, said that of the total allocation, 56.4 percent was earmarked for Upstream & Support Services, 30.3 percent were allocated to Energy Distribution & Logistics, and 13.3 percent were used for Non-Project and New Business Development.

"Elnusa implements prudent and directed business development and investment principles, in accordance with the company's management and risk management, so that it can provide long-term benefits for the energy industry and all stakeholders," he said, quoted on Sunday, March 16.

Arief said that his party continues to be adaptive to developing and innovating in supporting the company's business growth in the future, such as increasing operational capacity, optimizing strategic projects, and exploring new technologies in the energy sector.

In addition, he added that various developments were carried out, ranging from Pipeline Integrity Management, Well Production Improvement, Fabrications, Idle Well Solutions, EV Ecosystems, to Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage (CCUS).

"Currently, Elnusa is developing domestic technology for pipeline cleaning and inspections known as the logging process," he said.

Arief explained that logging is the process of launching an object called Pipeline Inspector Gauge (PIG) which functions to clean and inspect in a piping system.

"Elnusa always improves the quality in terms of products and services in every Pigging activity, one of which is by making and developing supporting products used, namely Foam PIG, as basic materials used in the process of pig cleaning or cleaning pipes," he explained.

In addition, Arief said Elnusa is also developing a Binary Heat Exchange for Geothermal and Inflow Control Device (Downhole Flow Regulator), as well as an Ecolift Hydraulic Pumping Unit solution to optimize idle wells.

According to him, this development is a synergy between Pertamina's subholding and PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE).

"Commitment to sustainable energy is also demonstrated by the development of Battery Charging Station in the electric vehicle ecosystem (EV Ecosystems) and the implementation of Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage (CCUS) technology to support the energy transition," he said.

In the Pipeline Integrity Management aspect, Arief said Elnusa developed In-Line Inspection Services to ensure the reliability and safety of pipeline networks.

Meanwhile, Arief added that in the field of Well Production Improvement, Elnusa presented innovations such as Pertasolvent, Hydraulic Dilation Water Pumping, and Automatic Well Performance Analysis to increase efficiency and optimization of oil and gas well production.

Arief added that this business development step is a form of Elnusa's commitment to supporting national energy security.

"We continue to accelerate business development through innovations that not only increase operational efficiency, but also contribute to national energy security and industrial sustainability. With a directed strategy, Elnusa is ready to face the challenges of the energy industry in the future," said Arief.
