President Considers A Board Of Advisors To The Aerospace Of Global Figures

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto is considering making a global figure as a member of the Advisory Board for the Investment Management Agency (BPI) Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara) Indonesia.

The Head of Operations for the Danantara, Dony Oskaria, was met at the Jakarta Presidential Palace Complex, Wednesday, March 5, mentioning that the names of these global figures had been submitted to President Prabowo after being prepared by his party.

"It is being confirmed, of course, who is the person cannot be ascertained. The President will judge later. What is certain is that because this (want) is a good and good thing in terms of governance, we open up opportunities for global advisors. But who is it, of course, the President will announce it," said Dony as quoted by ANTARA.

Dony mentioned the reason why global figures were used as an option to fill the position of the Advisory Council of the Indonesian Archipelago so that experienced figures in the investment sector could provide the best input for Indonesia.

Therefore, global figures proposed by the Indonesian Danantara management come from various backgrounds so that they can provide the best advice in managing BPI's investments.

"Their ability is to have an investment, risk management, there are fields of various kinds, of course they have a very good reputation. Hopefully with their expectations, they can give advice on how to make and build good governance in the management of government investments," said Dony.

As for the Supervisory Board from Danantara Indonesia, Dony ensures that he will continue to rely on non-ministerial agencies and institutions from within the country such as the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to the Financial Audit Agency (BPK). He ensured that the agencies were in charge of supervising the work of this BPI.

President Prabowo Subianto together with the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo and the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono inaugurated the Indonesian Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) at the Jakarta Presidential Palace.

Prabowo said Danantara, as the state wealth fund or sovereign wealth fund in Indonesia, would manage assets worth more than 900 billion US dollars, with the projected initial funds reaching 20 billion US dollars.

The Head of State in his speech emphasized that Danantara Indonesia must be managed with care, prioritize transparency, and can be audited by anyone.

"Danantara Indonesia untuk itu harus dikelola dengan sebaik-baiknya, dengan sangat hati-hati, dengan sangat transparan, dengan saling mengawasi saling, harus bisa diaudit setiap saat oleh siapapun," ujar Prabowo dalam peluncuran Badan Pengelola Investasi Danantara Indonesia di Istana Kepresidenan, Jakarta.
