JAKARTA - The Indonesian government through the Ministry of Public Works (PU) plans to carry out comparative studies to three countries in order to study designs for Legislative and Judicial Buildings in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN).
The three countries include Egypt, Turkey, and India.
Regarding this, PU Minister Dody Hanggodo said that his party would also study going to Sri Lanka to revise the design of the legislative and judicial building at IKN.
"Not only benchmarks to three countries, but also seeing designs in Sri Lanka," Dody told reporters at his office, Friday, February 21.
The IKN legislative and judicial building design team was chaired by Deputy Minister (Wamen) of Public Works Diana Kusumastuti.
Previously, Dody had mentioned that the government learned from Egypt, Turkey and India for the design. However, because there is budget efficiency, learning is canceled directly to these countries.
The study of appeals to the three countries was carried out because President Prabowo Subianto assessed that the legislative and judicial buildings there had a suitable character applied in Indonesia.
"From there, the team will reconstruct the picture and it will be submitted to Pak Prabowo again. However, the details are asked to the team leader," he said.
Previously, President Prabowo Subianto targeted IKN to become the capital city of Indonesian politics in the second phase of development which is planned to be completed in 2028.
This was conveyed by the Head of the IKN Authority, Basuki Hadimuljono, after attending a limited meeting with President Prabowo and a number of ministers at the Presidential Palace, Tuesday, January 21.
"He targets IKN in 2028 to become the capital of politics. We are tasked with completing projects for legislative, judicial and other supporting facilities," said Basuki.
