JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Kadin for National Entrepreneur Development, Arsjad Rasjid, invited Kadin officials at the central and regional levels to work together to seek innovation to open business opportunities as well as create new entrepreneurs through vocational programs.
"Kadin is ready to play a strategic role in being a catalyst for the growth of national entrepreneurs and MSMEs as well as developing the competence of young entrepreneurs," Arsyad said in his statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, April 22.
According to him, through the vocational training program, it is hoped that it can create competent young entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs so that they can create many jobs.
"Vocation is needed as a place to share knowledge, experiences and mentoring programs with entrepreneurs in order to be better prepared in developing the world of entrepreneurship," he said.
For that, added Arsjad, officials from the central and regional Kadin assist each other in creating jobs so as to reduce poverty.
"Entrepreneurship plays an important role in our economy, especially MSMEs which have repeatedly proven to be able to survive when an economic crisis occurs," said Arsjad, who is also a Candidate for Chairman (Caketum) of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the period 2021-2026.
In today's digital era, it is necessary to accelerate the data-based business ecosystem and the digital economy. The development of digital technology has changed the way we do business and interact with consumers, so it is necessary to adapt to remain relevant.
On the other hand, Arsjad also invited all parties to continue to develop social entrepreneurship by applying an innovative and sustainable approach to have a positive impact on society, especially the lower and marginalized economic class.
For Arsjad, Kadin can play a role in accelerating the transformation of Society 5.0, in order to support the acceleration of the Digital Industry 4.0.
"In Society 5.0, humans play a more central role, and technology is used not only for economic interests, but also for solving existing social problems," he stressed.
Arsjad, who is also the President Director of PT Indika Energy Tbk and Chair of the Sharia Economic Community (MES) Board of Trustees, promised to embrace and listen to every aspiration so that in the future Kadin Indonesia will be better.
Meanwhile, economist who is also a lecturer at the Perbanas Institute, Piter Abdullah, assessed that so far Kadin has played a role in helping the government, but it needs to be strengthened and even accelerated.
According to him, the government cannot work alone in stimulating the economy in the country, so it needs collaboration with new leaders at Kadin. Therefore, the new Kadin leader will need someone who can work together with the government.
"It is impossible for the government to walk alone, it must cooperate with the private sector. For this reason, the role of employers' organizations (associations) and also Kadin needs to be optimized," said Piter.
One form of increasing this role, said Piter, is related to policies, research and development which still need to be improved in order to create a healthy business world so as to improve the welfare of workers and society.
