JAKARTA - The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) targets total transactions of US$16.5 billion or equivalent to a debt of Rp269.5 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of Rp. 16,337 per US dollar) at the 40th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) event.
The largest exhibition in Indonesia is divided into three product zones, namely, Food, Beverage, and Agricultural Products, Manufacture Products, and Lifestyle, and Services.
The Minister of Trade (Mendag) Budi Susanto said the Ministry of Trade is targeting the 40th Trade Expo to be followed by more than 1,500 exhibitions, visited by 5,000 buyers from around the world and 30,000 visibors.
"The transaction target is 16.5 billion US dollars, an increase of 10 percent from the previous target of 15 billion US dollars," he said at the opening of the 40th Trade Expo, at the Ministry of Trade, Jakarta, Thursday, February 20.
Budi said that in addition to the exhibition, the Trade Expo 2025 will present several activities, including business matching, business gathering, business forum, MoU registration, as well as excellent awards and primanduta.
In addition, continued Budi, the Ministry of Trade Expo will also prepare a Civilization for MSMEs that we have facilitated for exports with SOEs and the private sector.
"To ensure more potential products from all over Indonesia appear at the Trade Expo, we will collect participants by involving relevant ministries and institutions, state-owned enterprises, offices that serve trade and Kadin and associations," he said.
