Here's KKP's Efforts To Control & Supervise Fish Drugs In The Power Industry Production Chain

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) ensures control and supervision of drug use in the cultivation production chain through the Marine and Fisheries Product Quality Control and Supervision Agency or known as the KKP Quality Agency.

The KKP Quality Agency is tasked with issuing certification of the quality of fishery products from upstream to downstream to provide quality guarantees and safety of fishery products for domestic and export consumption.

The head of the KKP Quality Agency, Ishartini, stated that his party had prepared quality inspectors along with dalwas (regulations, standards, NSPK and so on) devices.

The KKP Quality Agency, which is the competent authority for the quality and safety guarantee system of fishery products (SJMKHP), handles nine fisheries certifications, including those related to Good Fish Drug Production (CPOIB) and Good Fish Drug Distribution Methods (CDOIB).

CPOIB and CDOIB certifications located in the upstream locus of the cultivation production chain are also very important and have an impact on the downstream sector, especially regarding the issue of residual drugs and AMR. You see, both are included in One Health which has an impact on human health.

The two certifications will also determine the acceptance of Indonesian products in export destination countries.

Meanwhile, recently, the Inspector Mutu of the KKP Quality Body, Adam Saba Anggara, carried out CPOIB certification at PT Nugen Bioscience Indonesia.

The application for CPOIB by business actors is very easy, namely through OSS electronically, then the quality team will conduct an audit.

"Audits to ensure that the production process is according to standards starting from raw materials, production facilities, quality test laboratories, warehouses or finished product warehouses, and other supporting facilities. Including, waste management systems," he said.

The West Java Province KKP Quality Body also carries out similar activities at PT Medion Indonesia, a large company engaged in animal and fish health.
