SGN Targets Sugar Production To Reach 1.01 Million Tons By 2025

JAKARTA - PT Sinergi Sugar Nusantara (PT SGN) targets sugar production to reach 1,011,000 tons by 2025 based on several strategies, ranging from expanding planting land to intensifying the production process.

"For 2025, PT SGN is targeting production of 1,011,000 tons," said the President Director of PT SGN, Mahmudi, in Surabaya, East Java, Saturday, February 15, 2025.

Mahmudi explained that several strategies that will be implemented to encourage the achievement of this sugar production target are the expansion of the planting land, the reactivation of factories that were previously not operating, and the intensification of the production process.

Later, of the total sugar production of PT SGN of 1.01 million tons, 540 thousand tons of which are to meet the sugar needs for PTPN (PT Perkebunan Nusantara).

"This year, we are targeting production of 540,000 tons of the total production managed by PT SGN, including the proceeds from the HGU area of 56,000 hectares," said Mahmudi.

For last year, of the total sugar produced by PTPN as much as 851 thousand tons, 380 thousand tons of which were produced by PT SGN.

Therefore, with this large target, Mahmudi hopes that there will be a strong collaboration between all stakeholders so that they become large capital in improving service quality and operations.

"The input from the partners is very valuable for us to continue to improve quality and achieve the targets that have been set," he said.
