JAKARTA - The Muhammadiyah Central Board (PP) held a Plenary Meeting with the Legislation Body (Baleg) of the DPR RI to discuss the Revision of the Mineral and Coal Law (Minerba) which is currently being discussed in the DPR RI.
Representative of PP Muhammadiyah, Syahrial Suandi highlighted the contents of article 83A paragraph 5 which prohibits business entities belonging to mass organizations (ormas) from collaborating with previous PKP2B holders or their affiliates.
Syahrial argues that this can cause business entities belonging to mass organizations that manage mines to not be able to take advantage of the existing hauling road or transportation roads.
"The consequence of this is that we cannot take advantage of the hauling road, for example. We have to make a road from the mine site to the port," he said, Wednesday, January 22.
Meanwhile, if the mine site to the port has a distance of 70 km, then the business entity must build its own path at a large amount of cost.
"If the mine location goes to the port up to 70 km, say, then to build 1 km of hauling roads of approximately 1 million dollars. This means that it is a burden in front of us that we cannot burden," explained Syahrial.
He continued, his party also still had to be charged with purchasing heavy equipment that was not cheap. Not only that, business entities may also have to build a self-port if it is prohibited from working the same as the previous PKP2B owner.
"Third, building ports, the jetty itself. That's also quite large," he continued.

Syahrial further questioned the priorities given to community organizations to manage mines. He asked for an explanation regarding the Compensation of Information Data (KDI) which is required for all business entities
"Because it is said to be on a PRIORITY scale, the question is, is KDI applied to us in front? Or does KDI gain priority scale, either in financing, payment or it may be made after production for a long time after installments? Because this is a mine load in front which is not small in value," continued Syahrial.
For this reason, he asked the DPR to discuss in detail the revision of the rules that will be discussed by Balaeg.
"Because the mining world has a large investment, of course, mining management is a priority that needs to be considered," said Syahrial.
