The Ministry Of Public Works Calls Infrastructure Cost Needs In The Prabowo Era Capai Rp1,905 Trillion

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) said that the need for funds for infrastructure development over the next five years will reach IDR 1,905 trillion.

Director General of Infrastructure Financing (DJPI) of the Ministry of Public Works Triono Junoasmono or often called Yongki said, in this new government era, the Ministry of Public Works will focus more on project development for the achievement of Astacita Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka such as supporting food security, energy and water.

In addition, of course, other infrastructure developments to support increased connectivity as well as economic growth.

"Well, if we look at the needs of the next five years, the need is slightly increased, namely Rp1,905 trillion. It is a little more increased than five years ago," Yongki said in the Infrastructure Financing Podcast to Support Indonesia Gold 2045 on the Ministry of PUPR YouTube, quoted on Saturday, January 18.

With considerable funding needs, Yongki hopes that there will be infrastructure financing support from the government and business entity cooperation scheme (KPBU) of 40 percent or around Rp753 trillion.

"Well, the portion of funding through KPBU is expected to continue to be improved. Especially, for priority, strategic sectors and various efforts to support more equitable economic growth throughout Indonesia," he said.

According to Yongki, in the future his party plans to increase the portion of infrastructure funding from the KPBU scheme. Given, the budget allocation of the APBN is quite limited.

"And our plan, even in the future, is that we hope that in the future (the KPBU funding) will exceed the APBN planned for the next five years, our target is like that. Because as we know, right, the APBN is also limited. So, it is also impossible for us to rely on the full APBN for infrastructure financing," he concluded.
