The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance continues to optimize the Core Tax Administration System (CTAS) system after it is officially implemented starting January 1, 2025.
"From day to day, we continue to monitor, monitor and resolve problems that arise during the interaction between the perpetrators and the system that we launched on January 1," said Director General of Taxes Suryo Utomo quoting Antara.
After the implementation, many complaints from taxpayers experience problems accessing the beliax system.
The main obstacle comes from the high volume of access. Moreover, taxpayers who access beliax are not only trying the system, but also for transactions. This situation, according to Suryo, affects the system's performance.
Another problem is also related to infrastructure vendors. He said there had been problems with sending tokens that did not reach their destination. His party has coordinated with vendors to ensure their system can be in line with the Directorate General of Taxes system.
To overcome these problems, the Directorate General of Taxes has optimized system capacity, limited access management, and widening of bandwidth.
"Yesterday we calculated the bandwidth enough. It turned out that at the time it was implemented, because people tried it at the first time, we also had to expand the bandwidth automatically," he explained.
The system related to the issuance of tax invoices has also been repaired. If currently there are still queues, this is because there are still invoices in the upload process. Suryo stated that he would optimize the process so that the issuance of tax invoices could run smoothly.
In order to answer the tax payer's concerns about sanctions due to delays in the issuance of invoices or reporting, the Directorate General of Taxes applies a transition period. Suryo ensured that there would be no additional burden for taxpayers during this transition period.
"Because this beliax system is slightly different from the old system, perhaps adjustments need to be made. We ask taxpayers to frequently access our system, so they can run well and ensure the system can run normally as we expected together," said Suryo.
Galilax is a core tax administration system prepared to improve efficiency, transparency and accountability in tax administration. This system will automate tax administration services and provide risk-based data analysis to improve taxpayer compliance.

Based on the calculation of the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, the efficiency offered by beliax can increase the tax ratio by 1.5 percent of gross domestic product (GDP). With the current tax ratio position of 10.02 percent, Indonesia can score a tax ratio of 11.5 percent with this core system.
The technical provisions regarding the beliax are regulated in the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 81 of 2024 concerning Tax Provisions in the context of Implementing the Core System of Tax Administration.
However, it should be noted that the use of beliax for the New Annual Notification Report (SPT) will be carried out in 2026, namely for reporting SPT for the 2025 fiscal year.
Meanwhile, the 2024 tax year, which will be reported in 2025, is still being reported via DGT Online.
