Muamalat Institute And FEBI UIN Mataram Optimistic To Print Competent Sharia HR For NTB

JAKARTA - Following up on the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between the Muamalat Institute (MI) and the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business (FEBI) UIN Mataram last month, MI Executive Director Anton Hendrianto gave a public lecture to students at the Studium General event entitled "Optimizing the World of Economic Education and Business in the framework of the development of the NTB Region ”.

On that occasion, Anton said that his party is trying to synergize all economic elements in NTB in order to create a sharia ecosystem in order to welcome the launch of the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK) in the future.

According to him, the NTB region has great potential to develop economically. The reason is, one of the major events, namely the MotoGP race will be held in this area.

"Therefore, the sharia creative industry must take an important role driven by the younger generation. Through the commitment of UIN Mataram, especially the Faculty of Economics and Business, this region has the opportunity to become a contributor to the national economy, "he said, in a written statement, quoted on Friday, April 16.

Furthermore, Anto revealed that the Muamalat Institute will continue to provide support to make NTB a Sharia Center of Excellence.

"After this, we will conduct a series of discussions with all stakeholders with the short-term goal of increasing Islamic financial literacy and inclusion of Islamic banking through empowering the younger generation and optimizing the digital system," he explained.

"I thank the Dean of FEBI UIN and his staff for the synergy that has been built," he continued.

On the same occasion, the Dean of FEBI UIN Mataram Ahmad Amir Aziz expressed his gratitude for the participation of the Muamalat Institute in advancing the NTB economy.

"Hopefully in the near future we can discuss the follow-up further so that the plans that have been established can provide concrete results in the future," he said.

He also assessed that students were greatly helped by the assistance provided by MI as one of the competent sharia educational institutions in Indonesia under the auspices of Bank Muamalat.

"We also hope to collaborate to conduct further research in order to map how the idea of the Center of Excellence can be realized," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Dean of UIN Mataram Salahuddin explained that there are several important points in this collaboration.

First, that this relationship is a mutually beneficial bond both in terms of education and business prospects.

"Second, of course, from the social aspect, UIN Mataram and Muamalat Institute are both committed to providing an economic impact on the people in this region, as well as providing a competent workforce in the sharia industry," he added.
