KAI Long-distance Train Engineering Anticipates Traffic Density On New Year's Eve

JAKARTA - KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager Ixfan Hendriwintoko said his party engineered the long-distance train operation (KAJJ) which departed Gambir Station today Tuesday, December 31.

This is to anticipate traffic congestion on New Year's Eve.

"This arrangement is carried out to anticipate traffic jams and congestion at several access points to and from Gambir Station on New Year's Eve 2024/2025," said Ixfan as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 31.

The engineering arrangements for train operations are by dismissing 18 long-distance trains for Gambir Station departures at Jatinegara Station, where the train-KA normal conditions do not stop.

This step is KAI's effort to anticipate delays in train service users, because there has been a diversion of traffic flow on a number of roads to the Gambir Station area.

"There is this arrangement as an alternative departure. It is hoped that train customers can still depart on time and can adjust their departure time so that they are not left behind by the train," he said.
