Sido Muncul Maximizes Production Of Livestock Nutrition

JAKARTA - Sido Muncul Pupuk Nusantara targets an increase in the production of livestock nutritional supplements in the future. The company charges production of up to 1 billion liters per year.

CEO of PT Sido Muncul Pupuk Nusantara who is also the CEO of PT Industri Jamu and Pharmacy Sido Muncul Tbk (Sido Muncul), David Hidayat explained that fertilizer factories that process solid and liquid waste from Sido Muncul Herbal Medicine Production will be boosted along with the government's target.

"The results are liquid organic fertilizer for Agriculture and Livestock Nutrition for Livestock which is very useful," said David in his statement, quoted Thursday, December 26.

He added that this idea emerged from the idea of utilizing industrial waste in maintaining environmental conservation. After years of experiments the results can now be enjoyed.

"For example, dairy cows. Milk produced from dairy cows can contain more than 1 million bacteria, so production in 1 cage can be thrown away. After being given nutritional supplements, the number of bacteria drops drastically below 30 thousand, so it is very helpful for the Government to increase milk production properly," he explained.

By providing Herbafarm Sido Muncul Fertilizer Nusantara nutritional supplements to improve quality livestock products, it can also increase the production of meat, milk and eggs and increase the income of cattle breeders.

"The increase in production helps farmers, breeders and also the government in meeting the needs of raw materials for national nutrition programs," he said.

He gave an example that Herbafarm is able to produce healthier production of livestock. For example, cholesterol in the production ofgal eggs which after being given Herbafarm will lower cholesterol below 300.

The livestock that consume Herbafarm also have a longer production time. Laying chickens for example. Each chicken can be produced for 10 months, but it can be reduced if it is molted.

Chickens that consume Herbafarm will not experience molting, then the production time of eggs will also be longer.

"In fact, the resulting eggs are bigger and of good quality," he explained.

David said he had been asked to help a village where the majority of its citizens raised cows.

"The regent in the area then said that the village was complained about because of the smell of cow's droppings. We were asked to remove the smell of cow's droppings. Because cow's droppings contain ammonia," he said.

According to him, after being routinely given Herbafarm, the smell of dirt has gradually decreased. So, there are no more residents who complain about the smell of dirt.

"The equipment is also very much reduced. The cow's cage is cleaner. Interestingly, beef production has also increased by 40 percent. Based on experience, in the last month before Eid al-Adha the weight of the cows rose by 80 kilos compared to without consuming nutrition," he said.

"We have also tried four cows. 2 are given nutrients and 2 others are not. Those who take Herbalafarm Nutrition supplements weigh more than 1 ton, those who do not take 600-kilo supplements, so in general, the nutrients of the livestock are actually very helpful," he said.

For this reason, he targets to increase the production of this nutrient to 1 billion liters per year.

"We are ready if needed by the Government so that we can meet the needs of national farmers. Currently, the production is up to 30 million liters per year. We are ready to increase production to 1 billion liters per year if needed by the Government," he concluded.
